TRAVELING TO LEH AND LADAKH – WHERE TO GO AND WHEN TO COME
One of the most beautiful places you would ever visit are the stunning landscapes of Leh and Ladakh. Great weather, warm people and a uniquely beautiful side of the Himalayas is what makes this region very special.
You could choose to go on a trek and explore the Himalayan mountains in this region or you could choose to visit the stunning monasteries. The region also has some of the most beautiful lakes you will ever see.
Located in the northernmost state of Kashmir, the terrain and the weather means that Leh and Ladakh can only be visited by road from Mid-May till the end of September.
There are two ways of getting to Leh by Road one is via Manali and the other via Srinagar. We almost always recommend going through the Manali way not only is it a prettier journey but also since Kashmir is a volatile state it’s much safer than Srinagar.
We would love to help plan your trip to Leh and Ladakh. Get in touch with us by filling out the questionnaire to start planning your trip to India

India Someday organised the most amazing holiday in Kerala for us. It was the perfect mix of busy and then relaxing, the hotels were all great and it was just brilliant not having to think about anything to do with travel as the team had organised it all so well. They listened to our likes, budgets, hopes and put together the perfect itinerary. They checked in regularly while we were travelling. I really recommend India Someday.

When the decision to go to India was made, we came across India Someday while researching the individual destinations. The first non-binding offer reduced our many ideas to what was feasible within 3 weeks. Since we had always organized our Asian holidays ourselves and on the road in the past years, an iterative process with Adina resulted until all the details were in our mind. We found that booking with India Someday was a good idea when we were informed in time by Adina of a train cancellation, which we would surely not have experienced until we had booked it ourselves. India Someday’s travel planning included a perfect mix of different modes of transport. In addition to flights and trains, the multi-day journeys with Ratan Singh as driver were a unique experience that we would never have experienced on our own. Ratan has steered us extremely professionally, punctually and in a good mood through every traffic chaos and through all kinds of cow herds. He showed us the sights along the way that we would have missed by train and plane.
The hotels were mostly to our liking and were all characterized by very good Service and warm staff. The local guides booked by India Someday were also mostly top. Ahmed in Agra and Mugish in Jaipur, in particular, appeared to be the first choice in their city. Unfortunately, in every city we were also led to some sales outlets, although we clearly refused to accept any
which purchases to make.We spent an extremely impressive time in India and can only recommend India Someday.
