Traveling to Leh and Ladakh - Where to go and when to visit

TRAVELING TO LEH AND LADAKH – WHERE TO GO AND WHEN TO COME

One of the most beautiful places you would ever visit are the stunning landscapes of Leh and Ladakh. Great weather, warm people and a uniquely beautiful side of the Himalayas is what makes this region very special.

You could choose to go on a trek and explore the Himalayan mountains in this region or you could choose to visit the stunning monasteries.  The region also has some of the most beautiful lakes you will ever see.

Located in the northernmost state of Kashmir, the terrain and the weather means that Leh and Ladakh can only be visited by road from Mid-May till the end of September.

There are two ways of getting to Leh by Road one is via Manali and the other via Srinagar. We almost always recommend going through the Manali way not only is it a prettier journey but also since Kashmir is a volatile state it’s much safer than Srinagar.

We would love to help plan  your trip to Leh and Ladakh. Get in touch with us by filling out the questionnaire to start planning your trip to India

Testimonials

  • These guys really are outstanding. They take care of everything from the initial planning to travel to accommodation and transport, are happy to adapt recommendations to the tiniest of costumizability. It’s a perfect solution for those people who don’t like the large group ‘one size fits all’ tours, but want some help with navigating difficult Indian train timetables, don’t want to get scammed by taxies and guides/tour companies and want honest and accurate recommendations of places to stay that support the local small business owners and their communities. No matter the time of day, they were prompt to answer and troubleshoot but there still was a good element of independent planning and flexibility. This is a perfect company for those who want a bespoke planned trip but are a little travel-savvy, to really get the most out of it.

India Someday is definately the best way to travel to India. I travelled by myself for 25 days during June 2016 and had the trip of my life thanks to the superb service and personalization that India Someday provided. You will not regret!

India Someday is, simply, amazing. They are the best travel companions before, during, and after your trip to India. I was lucky enough to find them online, wrote a form on their website, and got a reply with a suggested itinerary within hours. In less than one week I had exactly the itinerary I needed as Ojas -the India Someday representative- was very efficient both via e-mail and with skype calls.

Once in India, I was in contact with Ojas and he was an invaluable help. Everything stated in the travel plan was as desired and I they even resolved some problems I had inmediately. The hotels/hostels booked were incredible and all the transportation was taken care of in a very efficient manner.

I was so happy I recommended it to my best friend and he used them in September 2016, he couldn’t be happier,
