SOUTH INDIA - WHERE TO GO AND WHEN TO COME

TRAVElLING TO SOUTH INDIA – WHERE TO GO AND WHEN TO COME

South India has always been a popular destination for travellers of all kinds. Blessed with the beaches, architecture and wildlife. Southern India though very different from the North is just as charming and a lot less chaotic. That is a beauty of India – It is huge with a lot of cultural diversity. The North of India is extremely different as compared to the South of India. Different people, different ways of life, different traditions etc.

An escape to South India!

There’s so much one could do in Southern India, you could choose to relax by the beaches in Goa and explore the ruins of Hampi (before heading off to Kerala). Click here to read more on Rachel’s two week trip across South India.

Tamil Nadu and Kerala can also be combined together on your trip to South India. You could potentially visit the backwaters, the beaches and the hill stations in Kerala. You can then travel East to Tamil Nadu, a region known for it’s stunning architecture and rich culture.

We would love to help you navigate South India in an individual, flexible and transparent travel planning process with you in control. Get in touch with us by filling out the questionnaire to start planning your trip to India

I’ve been in India already many times and always organized my trips by myself and very spontaneously on-site. But this time was different: I wanted to show my husband South India, but we only had two weeks time. So after some research at the internet I found India Someday and wrote Abbas to explain him my situation. He understood very quickly what I was looking for. Abbas and I arranged a very nice trip together. He had a lot of good advices and at the end we had a tailor-made tour for South India. The trip was wonderful! We had great accommodations (mainly home stays) and everything worked perfectly! Even while we were traveling Abbas and his team were in contact with us. I can highly recommend India Someday to everyone who is traveling to India. It’s going to be a great experience with the support of Abbas and his team

I didn’t want to travel alone for my first time in Asia, and my first trip in India. I found the « India Someday Group Tour » for backpackers which was fitting perfectly my needs. And what memories… I had the chance to travel two weeks in August 2015 all along Rajasthan with Chiara, an Italian traveler who was on holidays like me and we were accompanied by Abbas and Ojas from India Someday. These guys are simply the bests. It was so pleasant to getting to know them, to meet theirs friends and families on our path. This is the kind of travel experience that I was looking for, far from « the touristic way » and mainstream big travel agencies.

I kept so many good memories… The cooking lesson with Shashi in Udaipur, the sunrise in Pushkar after a short hike, the slum tour in Mumbaiand all the dinners and lunchs with all the guys. Special mention to Chandra Niwas, our guesthouse in Udaipur. I felt like at home in his house. Samvit the owner, who has also a foundation is such a passionate guy. It was really interesting to know more about the Educative System in India.

Everything was greatly organized before and during the roadtrip. I had a first contact with Camille by Skype, who is responsible for the French travelers. I asked her a lot of questions and she has been very helpful and comforting. Then before the trip I kept contact with Abbas and Ojas who have been very accommodating, super professional and friendly.

I secretly left my heart in India with all these guys. I would like to thank you again guys for these moments. I will prepare my round 2 with you in India very soon!!
