TRAVELLING TO NORTH INDIA – WHERE TO GO AND WHEN TO COME
One of the most visited regions in the country. The North of India has always been a very popular region with comfort travellers and backpackers alike.
Pick any direction to go in North India, it’s worth it!
North India has a lot to offer and the sheer variety of the region is unbelievable. You could choose to experience the formidable forts and the pretty palaces in the West (along with The Taj Mahal!) while staying in home-stays to get a local perspective (Rajasthan, Agra and Delhi). Click here to read more on Henning’s two week trip across North India and homestay experience in Rajasthan.
There’s so much more to North India than Rajasthan though, you could travel East to have an intense experience in Varanasi and further towards the North-Eastern regions of the country to see the diversity of the country at it’s best.
North India is also home to the Himalayas and visiting and exploring the Himalayan mountains is always a good option. A trip to Leh and Ladakh in the northernmost state of Kashmir is also a great option if you crave mountains and nature.
We would love to help you navigate this vast and multifaceted country in an individual, flexible and transparent travel planning process with you in control. Get in touch with us by filling out the questionnaire to start planning your trip to India.

My wife and I just returned from a 32 day tour of India arranged through India Someday and I cannot recommend this organisation highly enough. India Someday worked with us to arrange the perfect trip. They provided expert advice; arranged excellent hotels and homestays (which were all ranked very highly); the activities they organised were brilliant and delivered by outstanding people; and their drivers and guides were experienced, knowledgeable and reliable. India Someday were also completely transparent with pricing for all components – everything was itemised and their own fees were great value for money. They took the hassle out of booking a complex trip while also using people that you could rely on.
India Someday also provided excellent service during the trip itself. We had a constant line of communication and they made sure that everything was arranged every day. They were very responsive to our many last minute requests and on-hand to make any alternative arrangements should anything have impacted our plans.
Using the services of India Someday is the best way to visit India. You visit the places that you want to visit for as long as you want, while relying on them to book everything and with the best people. While the entire team was excellent, special thanks go to Sunil and Aaliya who were our primary contacts throughout. They know what they’re doing and nothing was too much trouble for them!

From my first email to Schnel I was impressed with the prompt reply and advice I received. A short questionnaire enabled her to plan our trip at the pace we required. We had many additional questions that were answered fully and quickly, the time difference didn’t delay the progress. The information for our ten day trip was all correct and our guides and drivers were always at the destinations waiting for us as planned. The choice of accommodation was very good and each hotel had something different to offer us. I would recommend this company to any traveller India.
