Sally and Crystal contacted us to help them plan their offbeat trip to South India. They had a few places they definitely wanted to visit. However, they were also looking for suggestions. So we had the sisters start their trip at the party capital of India, Goa. After which they went down to the beach town of Gokarna. The relaxing Om Beach sure did serve them well. They even had time to check out the Mahabaleshwar Temple.

Sally and Crystal’s offbeat trip to the south continued with a visit to the little town, Murdeshwar. Some of the sites they visited were The Raja Gopura, Murdeshwar Temple and the humongous statue of Lord Shiva. Both Sally and Crystal were excited about checking out the beautiful Adyar Falls at the outskirts of Mangalore.

Mangalore as a city boasts of historical sites such as Sultan Battery and Saavira Kambada Basadi. So they drove down to the city to continue their trip to the south. For their next destination, we chose Coorg. A hill station which gracefully flaunts numerous waterfalls, the Nagarhole National Park and Dubare Elephant Camp and many other wonderful places.

A couple of days in the wildlife destination Kabini followed. As nature lovers, both the sisters were happy to be amidst Kabini’s greenery. After enjoying the natural beauty of Kabini, they made their way to Mysore.

With places such as St. Philomena’s Church, Namdroling Monastery, Sea Shell Museum and the Mysore Palace, the city makes everyone’s time worthwhile. The sisters ended their offbeat trip to the south at Bangalore. They visited Bannerghatta National Park, the Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Nandi Hills while in the city.

Throughout their trip, Sally and Crystal had a car that they hired through us. They chose driving to each city to enjoy the beautiful landscape that one gets to witness on the road. They stayed in a mix of comfortable homestays and BnBs.
