Getting from Bangalore to Kerala

Kerala is known for its divine backwaters, but there are plenty of beaches, mountains, and wildlife sanctuaries too. Kerala is a nature lover’s paradise. The sheer variety of things that you can do in Kerala makes you want to pack your bags and leave immediately. If you are in Bangalore you’re already as close to Kerala as it gets. You wouldn’t want to miss out on visiting God’s own country.
Getting a flight from Bangalore to Kerala is very easy. Airlines like Indigo, Spice and Air India have daily flights from Bangalore to Ernakulam. The flights are inexpensive and short and it shouldn’t take you more than an hour and a half to reach Kochi.
Bangalore–Ernakulam Inter-City express: This train runs between Bangalore and Kerala seven days of the week. The train leaves from Bangalore City Junction at 6:15 AM. It reaches Ernakulam at 5 PM. Sometimes the train can run late making it an almost 12 hour jounrey
The other option is the Kanyakumari–Bangalore City–Kanyakumari Express. It’s also known as the “Island” Express. It’s a good bet to travel from Bangalore to Kerala. This train leaves everyday at 8:00 PM and arrives at 12:50 PM at Trivandrum Central.
Getting a bus from Bangalore to Kerala isn’t difficult at all. There are a number of buses everyday. You can book buses online at Redbus.in, Bookings for these buses open only 20 to 30 days in advance. You can’t book it while planning your trip to India. However getting a booking at the last minute should not be a problem.
